Black screen

Sound but no picture, or just black: nearly always the decoder or an HDR setting.

What it means

The stream is playing but the picture does not reach the screen.

What to do

  1. 01Switch the decoder from hardware to software in the app.
  2. 02Turn off automatic HDR / frame rate matching in the device's display settings.
  3. 03Try another HDMI cable or port.
  4. 04Test an SD or HD version of the same channel.
