Account and login
Invalid credentials
The details are not reaching the server. Nine times out of ten it is one wrong character or an expired account.
Wrong username or password
Same as Invalid credentials: one wrong character, or an account that has expired.
Unauthorized / 401
The server answers but refuses you. The account has either expired or is in use on too many devices.
Login failed
The login was rejected. Test the details in VLC to see if it is the app or the account.
Authentication failed
The server refuses the login. Usually wrong details, sometimes a paused account.
Account expired
The subscription has expired. Renew and your old details work again immediately.
Subscription expired
Same as Account expired: the period is over and needs renewing.
Access denied
The server will not let you through – usually too many simultaneous connections.
Connection refused
The server does not answer on that address. Check the server address and port.
Max connections reached
The account is in use on more screens than it allows.
Playlist
Playlist not found
The app finds no list linked to this device. Usually the list is uploaded against the wrong MAC address.
No playlist found
The same as Playlist not found – no list is linked to the device's MAC address.
Playlist empty
The list was found but contains no channels – usually an old or truncated link.
Unable to load playlist
The app cannot reach the link. Test the same link in a browser or in VLC.
Playlist won't open
The list exists but the app refuses to open it. Clear app data and add the list again.
Invalid playlist
The format is not recognised – usually a link that was cut in half.
M3U not working
Test the link in VLC. If it works there the problem is in the app, otherwise in the account or network.
Playback
Playback error
The picture will not start. Try another channel first – that tells us if it is the channel or everything.
Reading error
TiviMate's way of saying the stream broke while reading – nearly always the network.
Unable to Stream
IBO Player's wording. It usually means the list is uploaded but the stream is not allowed to start.
Cannot play stream
The player cannot handle the format or gets no answer. Switch decoder and try another channel.
Stream unavailable
That channel is down right now. If other channels work, you need do nothing.
Black screen
Sound but no picture, or just black: nearly always the decoder or an HDR setting.
No picture
The channel list shows but nothing starts. Test several channels and switch decoder.
Audio only
Sound without picture almost always means the TV cannot handle the codec with hardware decoding.
Loading forever
The spinner never stops: check the network first, the account second.
Channel freezes
The picture freezes at intervals – nearly always Wi-Fi or too small a buffer.
Channel not available
The channel is not in your package, or it is down.
TV guide (EPG)
No EPG
The guide is empty. Add the EPG link and force an update – it is only fetched once a day.
EPG not updating
The guide is stuck. Force an update and check that the EPG link is not old.
EPG wrong time / offset
Programmes are a few hours off: set the EPG offset or the correct time zone.
TV guide missing
No guide at all in the app – usually the EPG source is missing from the profile.
XMLTV error
The guide file could not be parsed. Usually it does not finish downloading.
Network
Buffering
The picture keeps reloading. A cable instead of Wi-Fi solves most cases.
Lagging
Stuttering picture or lagging sound – the same causes as buffering.
Connection lost
The connection drops mid-stream. Check the Wi-Fi strength and the router.
Network error
The device cannot reach the internet the way the app needs. Start with DNS.
DNS error
The device cannot resolve the server address. Set DNS manually.
Server unavailable
The server is not answering right now. Check the address and try again in a few minutes.
Timeout
The server did not answer in time. Usually a slow network or a busy moment.
Wi-Fi unstable
An unstable wireless network causes stutter and dropouts. 5 GHz or a cable fixes it.
Device and portal
Invalid MAC Address
The MAC the app sends does not match the one the list was uploaded against.
Invalid Device Key
The Device Key is wrong or has changed. Read it again in the app.
MAC not registered
The box's MAC address is not registered against the portal. Send it to support.
Your STB is blocked
The portal has blocked the box – usually an expired account or an unregistered MAC.
Page Loading Error
The box cannot reach the portal. Check the network, DNS and portal address.
Loading portal
Stuck on "Loading portal": DNS or an unregistered MAC, in that order.
Authorization failed
The portal did not approve the box. Check the MAC and the subscription.
Portal not found
The portal address is wrong or missing in the box.
No link
The box has no network connection – check the cable or Wi-Fi.
